Rainbow Bubble – an artist’s journey
So finally the day has arrived when I sit down and start writing to promote my own art work. With love for art since childhood, I had never envisioned that I would be coming up with a Solo Exhibition one day of my art work. It started one and a half year back when I had taken my first break from the corporate world. Painting was on my priority list and I did more of it with love and with an aim to get better every day. It was then when my work started shaping well and the appreciations came from everyone who noticed my work – esp family and friends. My friends & family have been my most loved audience and booster to my work. It was then when I started getting remarks on social sites to do an exhibition of my work. I had not taken the remarks too seriously at first neither did I ever ignored any of them.
With only training that I received in my school days, I learnt most of the work on my own – most from practice and some learning materials online. Youtube videos have been the best learning tool for me. Watching techniques and taking inspiration from artist on youtube, I learnt a lot of new and beautiful skill set . As I had no formal education in art, I was more on an exploratory mode. I started trying lot of medium to work with – Spray,Oil,Acrylic,Watercolors,Glow in dark paints, I play around with all.
The journey has been fun and exciting. The more I did the paintings, the more I wanted to do. This love and passion for art work kept me going, even when I joined corporate after my 1st break. I kept the spirits on and painting/art became one common work, no matter what I was doing and no matter where I was employed. With time the difference in my work was pretty much visible to me. I started amusing and feeling good about the work. The hall of our 1bhk flat in Mumbai got all packed with lot of my work, its then I thought that the time has come to do it. As Pune had been my place, I was clear that if I have an exhibition it has to be at Pune first. So finally I booked Darpan Art Gallery, which usually is booked entire year round,I was lucky here as I got a booking within 3 months time. I had never dreamt of my own art exhibition, neither had I thought that I would ever make this passion and hobby as my profession, but I guess it’s the best and I am getting all geared up for my first solo exhibition.
I am thankful to my family and all my friends who have been such an inspiration and support for me. They are the strong pillars that have helped me carve this journey of mine !!
